a year goes by fast sometimes...

I can't believe that Aria is already ONE! We celebrated her birthday last week, and I was amazed that a whole 12 months have already flown by... I can attest that as you get older, time seriously goes faster! I remember as a child hearing the grownups say that and I'd roll my eyes and now look at me...sigh.

At home, going kamikaze on the caterpillar, I didn't think she'd go this crazy, explaining why she's wearing clothes... I would've stripped her naked if I would've known she'd do this!

It was a great day, she got to eat whatever she wanted (or what she could reach hahah), and I made her a little caterpillar cupcake to eat on her actual birthday, while Aunt Ali made her a super fancy ladybug cake for Sunday dinner with the family. I found out Aria hates the feel of frosting on her hands, but loves the taste of cake. Of course. She got some clothes and toys and books, and a lot of hugs from sweet family. It's a birthday she'll never forget...ok...maybe one that I'll never forget.

Swinging with Daddy on her birthday

She picked waffles for breakfast (the kids helped her choose of course)PS, my sis in law were just talking about throwing big blowout bashes for 1st birthdays, saying how funny it is, since the birthday child will have no recollection of it, and was probably having a nap or playing with the wrapping paper during the bash, oblivious to the whole thing. I think those big parties are more for the parents than the child, saying, "Look honey, we made it. We survived a whole year with this wild thing. Let's celebrate."

Happy Birthday to Aria!!! I can't believe she is one already. Time does go by faster as we get older. It seems Megan was just that age and now she is in middle school. Crazy.
