What's a Blog?

Blogging sounds so barbaric! Like something I'd have to have armor and a nice big club for, but my sister tells me it's much less physical. So I'm trying it out, and she's right so far. I seem to be navigating the bloggy waters just fine, so far. I'm hoping this will provide a way to keep in touch with our growing and adventurous family, since I'm not fantastic about sending pictures and updates.

Ammon is growing and we are doing "preschool at home" together, with Shayla of course. We've been having fun planting seeds (grass seeds, and then our little patch will be transplanted outside to cover one of our numerous mole hills), learning our numbers and letters, and just exploring the world. Liam is growing like a little weed, our friend Scott has nicknamed him Tank, and it seems pretty appropriate right now. He's almost 3 months, time sure flies! He's such a happy boy, so smiley and easy going.

We parents are having a grand time parenting, especially now that Liam is sleeping through the night. Yippee!! We're looking for a bigger house in this area, but it's moving slow. We either find a nice house with no yard, or a "fixer upper" with a big yard. I'm hoping the prices fall a little more here in town too, then we can stick to familiar territory. It's taken me a long time to get adjusted to living amongst the tall trees, not being able to see very far around me to get my bearings.
