Thinking about roller skating takes me back to 6th grade. I was at the rink with my skates (no inlines back then!) on and friends by my side, and the cute boy was there too. I tried to show off, skating gracefully past him, and immediately biffed it on the rink, full body down, after tripping on who knows what. Nice.

Fast forward 15 years later (ok, a little more) and you will find me on the rink, wearing tennis shoes, pushing a stroller with a gaggle of children holding on for dear life. :) Josh skated with Ammon and Shayla, and the Everson and Tart cousins came, as well as friends from the ward, and we had a great old time. There was Disney music blaring, small and sinister green slushies, and many little children gingerly skating and sliding all over the place. I asked Shayla if she was having fun and she said, "no, not really, I'm ready to go home." Hmm... I believe that fun came in spurts, some while skating, for Shayla I think it was during slushy time. All in all it was a fun activity that completely wore everyone out, and we all had the best nap that afternoon!
