So this is just a little info about me, the head blogger...if you didn't already know, I love the pig. Not as a pet, but as a tasty treat. Some type of pork can be added to any meal and complement it in the best of ways. If I had to pick an animal and vegetable to live off of forever, it would have to be the pig and the potato. Which explains my oh so not waif-like figure. Sometimes Josh comes home from work, and I can tell when he walks in the door that he knows what's for dinner....some type of pig. I love making breakfast for dinner, just so I can have an excuse to cook up some sausage or bacon.
The thing that prompts this entry is my new license I just received in the mail today from the FCC. I am officially a ham radio operator. I have a call sign and everything. No ham radio, but if I found one I would be able to use it legally. They even sent me a small card to laminate and stick in my wallet, just in case my credentials are in question. I would give out my call sign, but again, no ham radio, so you wouldn't be able to use it to call me anyways. Besides, those that know me well know that I like to have a sense of "unreachability" at times...that's the solitary nomad in me. 
So onward and upward, one more thing to check off my "things I'd like to get done" list. Which reminds me, I have some bacon to thaw for tomorrow...

Wow, I had no idea that a)you are so "porky" or b) you have your ham radio license. My dad has his, too, and often gets up at 7 am on Saturdays just to "check in" with his ham buddies. Please don't go that far or I'll have to give you the same roll-of-the-eyes that I give him... ;) Seriously, good job! I don't have the patience and dedication to give to learning all that. Hooray for you!
I love love love your soul baring entry, who said being "waif like" was desirable anyway?! Congrats on your ham radio license, you are so going to be saving me in event of an emergency! Can I come over and have some bacon and pork chops?
